Formats & Playback Quality

Using ftrack Review, you can review videos, images, audio, and PDFs.

Resolutions

Uploading images, videos, and audio to your server generates proxies for review:

Images: Images will never scale up but will scale down to a maximum of 8192px in vertical/horizontal resolution.

Videos: Uploading videos will, depending on the resolution of a source media, encode a 720p and a 1080p proxy. If your source media has a resolution below 1080p, only the 720p proxy is encoded.
Upgrade to Review Pro to unlock 1440p (2k) and 2160p (4k) playback proxies.

Audio-only file support

ftrack Review now offers support for loading and playing separate audio-only files [mp3 or wav].

Adding an audio file functions similarly to any other version in your review, but instead of a thumbnail or image, you will see the visual representation of sound waves for the track. The waveform is loaded into the viewer, allowing you to easily track your progress, and the waveform is saved as a thumbnail attached to notes and PDF outputs.

Please note: As a limitation, you cannot annotate the audio-only files, but you can provide feedback by adding notes.
